So this is a process if you start it now within a year, two years, three years time, you will reach the goal. Definitely we can write a letter to all the diplomats, to all the foreign representatives of embassies here that we need the support and the expertise. This is the condition now, our building's condition, how you can come and if the building is weak, how we can reinforce that building." 6. Wide of delegates STORYLINE: Bangladeshi garment manufacturers met representatives of leading Western brands on Monday in Dhaka, to discuss safety standards following the collapse of a building housing garment factories that killed more than 380 people. The illegally constructed, 8-storey Rana Plaza collapsed in a heap on Wednesday morning as thousands of people worked inside in five garment factories. About 2,500 survivors have been accounted for. The collapse was the deadliest disaster to hit Bangladesh's garment industry, which is worth 20 (b) billion US dollars annually and supplies global retailers. Among the garment makers in the building were Phantom Apparels, Phantom Tac, Ether Tex, New Wave Style and New Wave Bottoms. At monday's meeting of manufacturers in the capital, Dhaka, some representatives expressed dissatisfaction at the government's role in ensuring safety standards. "I need a government who has a proper procedure so that any building, before it's even filled with people, has gone through this checking," said Roger Hubert, Vice President of Li & Fung in Bangladesh. "We need the government. Without the government, whatever we talk, it's not making any impact," he added. Wednesday's collapse and previous disasters in garment factories have focused attention on the poor working conditions of workers who toil for as little as 38 US dollars a month to produce clothing for top international brands. The New Wave companies, according to their website, make clothing for several major North American and European retailers. Britain's Primark has acknowledged it was using a factory in Rana Plaza. It said in a statement Monday that it is providing emergency aid and will pay compensation to victims who worked for its supplier. Many other retailers have distanced themselves from the disaster, saying they were not involved with the factories at the time of the collapse or had not recently ordered garments from them. Wal-Mart said none of its clothing had been authorised to be made in the facility, but it is investigating whether there was any unauthorised production. Md Atiqul Islam, the President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), called for more help from the international community in terms of offering its engineering expertise. Kodi 'spyware' could find out if users are watching illegally streamed material on their boxes, according to a new report.A new add-on has been installed on some versions of Kodi software without users' approval. It 'spies on' users by monitoring the content people are streaming on their boxes. If the 'KN Addon Caretaker' software detects illegal content, it displays a message warning users to uninstall in case it is 'harmful'.The message will not go away until users comply, according to the report.Kodi is software that enables you to streams apps and on-demand services onto your TV.  The software, which is legal, can even be downloaded onto an Amazon Fire stick. Blank boxes can be bought from most major retailers for as little as £20 ($24), with the software uploaded afterwards. Users can play BBC iPlayer, Youtube, Soundcloud and other free catch-up apps on the device.   But many of the plug-ins the box offers are illegal. Be wary if the box is pre-loaded to include subscription sport, TV and movies for free. Commonly the 'fully loaded' boxes let users watch Premier League games or Sky Movies without paying a subscription fee.The new add-on, created by German Kodi developer Birger Jesch, monitors potentially illegal software installed on a device, according to the report from TVAddons, a popular library for 3rd party add-ons.It is being hidden in new versions of some developers' 'Kodi skins', which change the look and often extend the features of a user's Kodi setup.Developers of at least two Kodi skins - Estuary MOD V2 and Embuary - have rolled out the software in their new update, meaning they are installing it without users' approval. They claim they have included it as 'a dependency' to protect from being linked with illicit add-ons.The software flags up any 'problematic' add-ons that might have been installed on a device.'You have one or more unauthorised repositories installed. These repositories may contain harmful add-ons', the warning message reads.'It's highly recommended to clean up your add-on list'.According to TVAddons, at least two official add-ons, MathsGrinds and MetalChris, have wrongly been blacklisted by the new software.'This seems like another attack against the add-ons that made Kodi popular in the first place,' the site wrote.'As abusive lawsuits have began to plague the unofficial Kodi community, we've noticed an alarming trend in official Kodi developers attacking the unofficial add-on community, within the official Kodi forums as well as over social media.'Many of these attacks are unwarranted considering the fact that once upon a time Kodi itself was home to many of the add-ons which they now claim to hate.'It added: 'We strongly believe that end users should always have the right to choose, otherwise what's the point?'The battle between Kodi and illegal add-ons has been raging for months.Earlier this month, TVAddons was targeted by Kodi on Twitter, who called for it to be 'shut down because it brings misery to everyone'.TVAddons is one of the most popular libraries for add-ons on Kodi, and was suddenly shut down in June during a legal battle with Canadian TV networks. It provided a library of more than 1,500 add-ons, which supplied both legal and illegal content. But the developers were recently cleared in court in Canada, and the library - which can be used to stream both legal and illegal content on Kodi boxes - put back online.Kodi's initial comment was made in response to an article tweeted by Torrent Freak 1

700,000 contaminated eggs from Dutch farms are in the UK Thousands of salads and sandwiches are being taken off store shelves in a tainted eggs scare. Four big supermarkets are withdrawing the products on the orders of the Food Standards Agency. The watchdog had claimed only 21,000 of the danger eggs had been imported from Europe. It insisted there was no health risk and refused to name the affected retailers. Yesterday however it admitted the true figure was much higher – potentially 700,000 – and confirmed the eggs had been used by Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda. Contaminated with pesticide, the eggs went to factories making sandwich fillings, sandwiches, salad bowls and pots containing boiled eggs The problem was identified last November but watchdogs on the Continent failed to issue a Europe-wide food recall. That means many of the tainted products are likely to have been eaten already. UK egg producers criticised supermarkets and suppliers for using cheap imports. They said it was ‘double standards’ to put British eggs on shelves while using foreign ones in processed food. The pesticide in question – fipronil – is moderately toxic according to scientists but can cause organ damage when taken in large quantities. It appears to have entered the food chain through its use in clearing mite infestations on Dutch farms. Police in the Netherlands yesterday announced the arrests of two men in connection with the illegal use of the chemical. It is understood the egg contamination was picked up by the authorities in the Netherlands in November and then again by watchdogs in Belgium in June. It was not until last week that a Europe-wide food safety alert was issued with the result that millions of fresh eggs were removed from shelves in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and other states. The UK recall was ordered only when the full scale of imports emerged. Tim Lang, professor of food policy at City University in London, said: ‘This seems to be a failure of the rapid alert system. It is astonishing. Perhaps the Dutch and Belgians thought what they found were isolated incidents. Perhaps they were scared witless.’ Ian Jones, chairman of British Lion eggs, said: ‘The major retailers are operating to double standards when it comes to eggs. All of them stock British Lion shell eggs but they use imported eggs in many of their other foods containing eggs ‘This is just the latest of a number of food safety issues connected to eggs produced outside of the UK in recent years. Consumers clearly want retailers and food manufacturers to use good quality British ingredients that are produced to high standards of food safety, but in some prepared foods this is not the case.’ Previous problems include salmonella food poisoning outbreaks caused by cheap eggs from Germany and Spain. The FSA claims it acted quickly once it was alerted to the fipronil problem. ‘It is very unlikely that these eggs pose a risk to public health, but as fipronil is unauthorised for use in food-producing animals we have acted with urgency to ensure that consumers are protected,’ it said.

The Bobby Van now utilises wireless burglar alarms as a low cost, effective and reasonable to install home security solution. You as a property owner can now choose to buy burglar alarms through a professional security specialist, or choose to make a purchase of a wireless alarm kit as a DIY project. Kits are available to buy from major UK DIY retailers and staff in store should be able to give you advice on product selection. Systems are battery operated and include options that can be added to afterwards to develop the security in your property. As a starting point you should consider elements such as infra red motion detectors, which can detect unauthorised movement within a property, magnetic door and window entry sensors which raise the alarm if a door or window is opened when the alarm is armed (on position), and panic alarms built into the alarm panel or added as a separate panic button that operates the alarm. Key questions you may wish to ask a retailer or contractor: Does the product have an adequate audible alarm in the range of around 120 decibels? Does the external alarm bell box have a visible flashing light to assist in raising the alarm? Adaptability. Can it can meet my current requirements and can I add further security devices later on if required? Is a panic alarm facility provided which I can operate if there is an intruder? South Wales Bobby Van Fitter Brian adds "when you select and install the alarm always remember" Make sure you understand how to operate it. Keep a copy of the instructions. Keep your receipt and warranty. Ensure it is maintained as advised by the manufacturer (batteries will have to be replaced) Note any contact numbers such as a helpline. Check with your insurance provider to see if they will accept the alarm for any reduction in premiums. The maintained alarms (those that are linked to a monitoring centre and usually require a monthly subscription) are the alarms typically required for this purpose.

Let us know what you think about this in the comments section down below. About 60 people have been turned away from the new Harry Potter play after buying tickets from unauthorised retailers, producers have said. Staff at London's Palace Theatre have been told to refuse entry to anyone with tickets that have been resold. One ticket for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which normally has a face value of up to £70, is currently for sale on a secondary website for £6,200. Producers called the secondary ticket market "an industry-wide plague". Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender said it was a matter "which we as producers take very seriously". 'Protecting our customers' In a statement, they added: "Our priority is to protect all our customers and [we] are doing all we can to combat this issue. From the outset, accessible pricing has been of paramount importance to us. "We have already been able to identify, and refuse entry to a significant number of people who purchased tickets through resale sites and will continue to track down touts and refuse entry to anyone who has knowingly bought a ticket from a tout through the secondary market." - News Source Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/MixEpic

The ZX81 was a home computer produced by Sinclair Research and manufactured in Scotland by Timex Corporation. It was launched in the United Kingdom in March 1981 as the successor to Sinclair's ZX80 and was designed to be a low-cost introduction to home computing for the general public. It was hugely successful and more than 1.5 million units were sold before it was eventually discontinued. The ZX81 found commercial success in many other countries, notably the United States, where Timex manufactured and distributed it under licence. Timex later produced its own versions of the ZX81 for the US market -- the Timex Sinclair 1000 and Timex Sinclair 1500. Unauthorised clones of the ZX81 were produced in a number of countries. The ZX81 was designed to be small, simple, and above all cheap, using as few components as possible to keep the cost down. Video output was to a television set rather than a dedicated monitor. Programs and data were loaded and saved onto audio tape cassettes. It had only four silicon chips on board and a mere 1 kB of memory. The machine had no moving parts -- not even a power switch -- and used a touch-sensitive membrane keyboard for manual input. The ZX81's limitations prompted the emergence of a flourishing market in third-party peripherals to improve its capabilities. Such limitations, however, achieved Sinclair's objective of keeping the cost of the machine as low as possible. Its distinctive design won awards in the UK and abroad.[examples needed] The ZX81 could be bought by mail order in kit form or pre-assembled. In what was then a major innovation, it was the first cheap mass-market home computer that could be bought from high street stores, led by W.H. Smith and soon many other retailers. The ZX81 marked the first time that computing in Britain became an activity for the general public, rather than the preserve of businesspeople and electronics hobbyists. It inspired the creation of a huge community of enthusiasts, some of whom founded their own businesses producing software and hardware for the ZX81. Many went on to play a major role in the British computer industry in later years. The ZX81's commercial success made Sinclair Research one of Britain's leading computer manufacturers and earned a fortune and an eventual knighthood for the company's founder, Sir Clive Sinclair. My unbuilt Sinclair ZX81 diy kit! A collectors item! The ZX81, released in a slightly modified form in the United States as the Timex Sinclair 1000, was a home computer produced by Sinclair Research and manufactured in Scotland by Timex Corporation. It was launched in the United Kingdom in March 1981 as the successor to Sinclair's ZX80 and was designed to be a low-cost introduction to home computing for the general public. It was hugely successful and more than 1.5 million units were sold before it was eventually discontinued. The ZX81 found commercial success in many other countries, notably the United States, where Timex manufactured and distributed it under licence and enjoyed a substantial but brief boom in sales.
